Alexa has been in the construction industry since 2016. Over the past four years she has grown from an Administrative Assistant, handling timecards, job safety books and change orders, to an Assistant Project Manager working under Select Demo’s Chief Estimator. This new role has opened many doors for her, as she can now read structural blueprints, attends pre-bid site visits, performs estimating take-offs on a specialized estimating software program, prepares estimates and proposals and helps to manage ongoing awarded projects upwards of $2 million. She excels at communicating efficiently with clients, as well as office personal. Alexa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of New Hampshire.
Gianni a recent UMass Amherst graduate, who majored in Building and Construction Technology. After graduating, he was able to apply his in-class learning experience to the real world by working an internship with the Kraft Group at Gillette Stadium. During his internship with there, Gianni was able to gain experience overseeing stadium related construction, which included the development of the New England Revolution Training Facility, the Patriot Training Facility and various interior fit-outs within the stadium. Gianni would later go on to work with G. Greene Construction Co. where he was able to oversee life science and Department of Defense contract work for various institutions in the greater Boston area. During his time away from work, he enjoys spending time playing guitar and occasionally recording music and podcasts with friends.
Alexandra has been in the construction industry since 1999 with a focus on the environmental remediation industry. As Select Demo’s Abatement Project Coordinator, she provides project management and administrative support on numerous abatement projects that run simultaneously. She works as the conduit between Project Managers and the Operations Department transitioning contract requirements that impact performance and assists in reaching budget and schedule goals. She handles all of Select Demo’s abatement contractor and employee licensing, as well as obtaining and maintaining project permitting and notifications in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and New York. She is also responsible for the completion of project work plans and submittals.
Brendt Gonsalves brings over 36 years of industry experience to The Select Group of Companies. Brendt attended vocational school as a teen where he learned carpentry and the theoretical concepts associated with residential construction. He later moved to heavy bridge construction where he performed demolition, excavation and concrete form work while completing his degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Brendt's hands-on skill and big picture understanding successfully guided him as Superintendent and later as a Senior Project Manager during his 22 years in the general contracting field. His work has been expansive, with an extensive focus on specialty labs (BSL 3 & 4 and Life Science), high rise construction, airport work, self-performed concrete and many other complex projects.
Brendt adeptly wears many hats as he oversees the six individual companies that make up The Select Group of Companies. His role includes handling daily operations oversight, facilitating executive and operations meetings, as well as long term business planning to align with company goals for each individual entity. Brendt is responsible for monthly requisition reviews and overview of monthly costs reports in conjunction with accounting. His work also includes interface with Human Resources, IT and insurance groups, as well as direct client service.
Nick brings five years of construction accounting experience to Select Demo. At his previous company, he served two years as the Controller, where he oversaw the financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll and cash flow management, as well as developed and maintained the internal accounting controls and financial reporting for the company. At Select Nick assists in overseeing Accounting’s AR Department. He strongly believes in working as a collaborative team to closely monitor the financial progress of projects and the company as a whole. In the infancy of his career here, Nick played a vital role in Select Demo’s Merrimack Valley Columbia Gas Clean Up Project, where he was the onsite Project Accountant. He is a five-year member of the CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association) and he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
Scott has been in some level of human resources for the last 22 years. As a Human Resources Director he has restructured benefit plans, implemented retirement plans, and successfully created workforce development plans. His human resources experience has been diversified through manufacturing, healthcare and construction. Scott is a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) and holds CP certification through them. A founding member, and previous Board Director, of the Diversity Workforce Coalition, Scott brings a perspective of inclusion into the workplace. Although his past focus in Human Resources has been management development, employee relations, workforce development, and recruitment, he is well versed in all human resources matters. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters Degree from Rivier University.
Stacie has 35 years of accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger knowledge. Her accounting background has been in the manufacturing industry, and she has spent the last three years of her career at Select Demo. She is responsible for streamlining all accounting functions and the process flow between accounts payable and purchasing, thereby making her a key contributor to Select Demo’s overall financial growth. Stacie holds a degree in Business Management from Northern Essex Community College Continued Education at Framingham State College.
Ryan Billingsley brings over 20 years of experience in the demolition industry to Select Demo Services, LLC. Starting at the age of 18, Ryan followed in his father’s footsteps and worked alongside him, allowing him the opportunity to work on some of the largest, most complex demolition projects on the east coast. Some of those notable projects included: The Central Artery’s “Big Dig”, The World Trade Center in New York City, Cooper River Bridge in Charleston, SC, The Rt. 1 Chelsea Viaduct Bridge Rehabilitation, and the 6/10 Connector in Providence, RI. This experience gave him the ability to run demolition operations for some of the largest demolition contractors in New England. As Operations Manager for Select Demo’s Heavy Civil Division, Ryan handles the day- to-day operations within the Division with respect to providing jobs with equipment, manpower, trucking and subcontractors. He also works very closely with his clients and his Project Management Team on scheduling and production, while performing projects safely and under budget.
