Select Demo was contracting by SPS New England, Inc. to perform this two-phased, rapid bridge deck replacement project in which the demolition schedule was given two 72-hr windows to complete each phase. Select Demo completed this project ahead of schedule with each phase being completed within 48 hours with zero incidents or injuries. This was a complex project in which half of the bridge was located over an active building inclusive of offices and a large mechanical room that had to stay operational the entire time demolition activities were taking place.
