Select Demo was contracted directly by Colantonio, Inc. to perform the full interior demolition of this 52,000 SF building including interior walls, MEP’s, carpet and timber floor openings for an elevator shaft. Select’s scope also included a partial 50,000 SF, 1-story takedown; removal of 150 windows and the removal of 150,000 SF of slab inside the building. Select’s abatement scope consisted of the removal and disposal of asbestos gaskets in piping, fire doors, back coatings, black mastic, roof drains, sink undercoatings, grout and black vapor barrier on roof. Select was also awarded the general labor scope on this project.Colantonio is renovating the existing facility and converting it into a specialized school for children with autism and learning disabilities.
