Select Demo was contracted directly by Tufts University to perform the abatement and total demolition of this 10,790 SF fraternity house, which was the former Tufts chapter of Zeta Psi fraternity at 80 Professors Row in Somerville, MA. Select's abatement scope consisted of the removal of 5,200 SF of asbestos-containing VAT/mastic. The demolition scope entailed the takedown of the entire structure, as well as the removal of all foundations. Select also completed the cutting, capping and make-safes of all utilities and handled all permitting.  This project was completed in a highly dense setting just outside of Tufts University's Medford Campus with a mix of university-owned houses, Greek life buildings, and private homes. Future use of the vacant site is planned to support student housing.
