Project Value Range: $500,000 - $600,000
Select Demo was contracted by Bond Building Co. to perform the asbestos abatement and interior demolition of Bryant's University's 33,000 SF Salmanson Dining Hall. Select's asbestos abatement scope consisted of the removal and disposal of asbestos fireproofing, as well as transite pipe from exterior excavation. Select's demolition scope entailed the decontamination and demolition of non-ACM ductwork in the mechanical space, along with the complete interior demolition of the entire dining hall, including drywall partitions, ACT and GWB ceilings, carpet, ceramic tile, concrete floor slab trench, kitchen equipment, and MEP's (cut and dropped by others). The new Salmanson Dining Hall now provides the campus with expanded meal choices and space to collaborate, socialize, and relax. The renovation was necessary to expand the cooler-freezer and food storage capacity, improve the operational flow of the receiving, storage, prep, and production kitchen areas, and to add flexible server stations, allowing the school to expand its culinary offerings.
