Select Demo was contracted by Arcadis US, an international leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy firm for natural and built assets, to perform the demolition and abatement of eleven (11) buildings, seven (7) above ground diesel tanks and six (6) 50,000 gallon above ground propane tanks for a super-major Refinery/Bulk storage site. Care had to be taken when demolishing the propane tanks due to active fuel lines being in close proximity to each tank. During the building demolition phase, two ponds were drained and work platforms were constructed to demolish the 5,000 SF former fire pump house, which spanned both ponds.
