Select Demo was contracted by the Cultural Alliance of Medfield to perform the asbestos abatement of this 27,000 SF, 3-story former chapel of the former Medfield State Hospital, which was converted into the Bellforge Arts Center in 2020. The Medfield State Hospital property has been listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places and many famous movies have been filmed onsite, including Shutter Island by Martin Scorsese. Select's scope included the removal of 53,000 SF of asbestos plaster, 1,000 LF of asbestos pipe insulation, 500 SF of asbestos white insulation board throughout the building.
